    № 02How to merge

How to Merge JPG Files Into One Image

To merge JPG files into one image, follow 4 steps: add your images, choose a layout, adjust size and quality, then preview and download the result. The whole process takes under 1 minute and runs in the browser on your phone or computer, with no app to install.

    1. 01

      1. Upload or Add Images

To add images, click Choose JPG files, drag files onto the upload box (drag and drop), or paste an image from the clipboard with Ctrl + V (⌘ + V on Mac). The link button next to it imports an image from a URL.

JPG or JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group), PNG (Portable Network Graphics), WEBP, GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) and BMP (Bitmap) files can be mixed in one merge. Each image appears as a card with a thumbnail, file name and file size, plus a rotate ⟳ button and a delete button.

    2. 02

      2. Choose the Image Layout

To choose a layout, open the Layout menu below the image cards. The menu has 5 options: Vertical, Horizontal, Grid 2 columns, Grid 3 columns and Grid 4 columns.

The vertical layout (vertical merge) stacks images from top to bottom. The horizontal layout (horizontal merge) places images side by side from left to right. Grid arranges images in rows and columns for a collage. Turn on Match sizes so the edges of every image line up neatly.

    3. 03

      3. Adjust Size and Quality

To adjust the size, choose Original size (100%), Large (75%), Medium (50%) or Small (25%). Medium turns a 1600 × 4933 px image into 800 × 2467 px, leaving a quarter of the pixels and a much lighter file to send over WhatsApp or email.

Set JPEG quality from 50 to 100 in the Advanced menu. The default quality of 92 keeps photos sharp, and 80–85 produces smaller files. The same menu holds spacing between images, the outer border and the background colour. Prepare a short side of at least 1200 px for each photo, if the result will be printed at 10 × 15 cm (4 × 6 in) and 300 dpi (dots per inch).

    4. 04

      4. Preview and Download the Image

To see the result before downloading, check the preview panel next to the image cards. The panel shows the final dimensions, the estimated file size and the number of images, and it updates every time a setting changes. Click the enlarge icon for a full-screen preview.

Pick the output format in the Format menu, then click Download as JPG. The file is saved to your downloads folder with a name such as gabung-jpg-20261020-1430.jpg. Click Start over to merge the next set of images.

      № 04Examples

      Examples of Merging JPG Files

There are 5 common ways to use a JPG merger: before-and-after photos, screenshots, product photos, social media content, and images for presentations and reports. Each example uses a different layout.

      Combine Before and After Photos

Use the horizontal layout to place before and after photos side by side. This arrangement suits home renovations, fitness progress, skincare results and photo-editing portfolios. Turn on Match sizes so both photos have the same height, then add 8–16 px of spacing so the boundary between them is clear.

      Join Several Screenshots

Use the vertical layout to join several screenshots into one long image. It works well for payment confirmations with receipts, long WhatsApp conversations, app tutorial steps and bug reports. A vertical image scrolls easily on a phone and goes out as a single file. Choose PNG, if the screenshots contain a lot of small text.

Merge Product Photos Into One Image

Use a 2-column grid to show 4 angles of a product in one marketplace photo slot. Sellers on Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Shopee use this to show the front, side, back and a detail of a product at once. A white background and 10–20 px of spacing make the collage look like a catalogue, and buyers understand the product without swiping through many photos.

      Arrange Photos for Social Media

Use a 2- or 3-column grid to build Instagram collages, Facebook covers or Pinterest pins. Holiday, wedding and family event photos fit into a single post. Instagram displays feed photos at a maximum width of 1080 px, so choose Large or Medium to keep the file light without losing sharpness on a phone screen.

Merge Images for Presentations and Reports

Use GabungJPG to combine charts, tables, scanned pages and project photos into one image. One merged image is easier to place in PowerPoint, Google Slides or a monthly report than five separate images. Choose PNG so the numbers and labels in charts stay sharp on a projector screen.

      № 05Reasons

      Why Choose GabungJPG?

There are 4 main reasons to choose GabungJPG: it is free with no sign-up, it keeps your images private, it is easy to use and it adds no watermark.

      Free With No Sign-Up

GabungJPG is completely free and never asks for an account, email or phone number. There are no paid plans, no pricing page and no "daily limit reached" message. For comparison, the Conholdate image merger (conholdate.com and conholdate.cloud) splits its service into Free, Basic and Professional plans.

      Private, Processed in Your Browser

Your images never leave your device. GabungJPG processes images in the browser with the Canvas API (Application Programming Interface), so no file is sent to a server or stored in cloud storage such as Conholdate Drive. The output file does not carry EXIF metadata from the original photos, including GPS (Global Positioning System) location. Full details are on the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages.

Easy to Use, No Editing Skills Needed

GabungJPG needs only 3 actions: choose files, choose a layout, then download. You don't need to understand layers, canvases or export settings as in Adobe Photoshop. Every setting uses simple menus and sliders that work with a mouse, keyboard or touch screen.

      No Watermark on the Result

The merged result carries no watermark, logo or extra text, whatever its size. The file is ready for marketplace listings, portfolios, client presentations, digital archives or photo prints.

Merge JPG vs JPG to PDF: What's the Difference?

Merging JPG combines several images into one image file, while JPG to PDF arranges images into a PDF document with one or more pages. Choose Merge JPG, if the result will be sent in a chat, posted on social media or used as a product photo. Choose JPG to PDF, if the result must be a document for printing, archiving or attaching to a job application.

      № 07FAQ

      Frequently Asked Questions

Short answers to the 9 most common questions about merging JPG files.

Can I merge images of different sizes?

Yes, GabungJPG can merge images of different sizes. The Match sizes option gives every image the same width in the vertical layout and the same height in the horizontal layout, while keeping each aspect ratio. Choose Original sizes, if every image must keep its own dimensions. Smaller images are then centred on the background colour you pick.

Which image formats does GabungJPG support?

GabungJPG supports 5 input formats and 5 output formats. Input formats are JPG/JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF (first frame) and BMP, plus AVIF (AV1 Image File Format) in browsers that support it. Output formats are JPG, PNG, WEBP, PDF and BMP. The WEBP option appears in browsers that can save WEBP, and SVG and TIFF are not yet available as output formats.

Can I merge JPGs vertically, horizontally or in a grid?

Yes, you can merge JPGs vertically, horizontally or in a grid of 2, 3 or 4 columns. The layout can be changed at any time without adding the images again, and the preview rearranges instantly.

How many images can I merge at once?

The number of images you can merge at once is unlimited. You can merge 2 JPGs into 1, merge 3 JPGs, or combine dozens of photos in one go. The practical limit is your device's memory and the browser's canvas size: at most 32,767 px per side and up to 268 megapixels on a computer, depending on its memory, or 16 megapixels on iPhone and iPad. Results beyond these limits are scaled down automatically, and you get a notice.

Will image quality drop after merging?

No, image quality does not drop visibly with the default settings. JPG uses lossy compression, so each save discards a small amount of detail, and at quality 92 the difference is practically invisible. Choose PNG if you need a result without lossy compression. Quality 100 keeps the most detail, but a JPG is still compressed. In our test, three 960 × 540 px JPG photos (281 KB in total) merged vertically into 960 × 1620 px: the JPG result at quality 92 was about 450 KB, and the PNG result was about 3 MB.

Can I set the order and spacing between images?

Yes, you can set the order and spacing between images. Drag an image card to a new position, or tap the left and right arrow buttons on a phone. Spacing between images goes from 0 to 120 px and the outer border from 0 to 160 px in the Advanced menu.

Are my images safe and not uploaded to a server?

Yes, your images are safe and are not uploaded to a server. Images are only read into browser memory and are cleared when you close the tab. To confirm it, disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded: merging keeps working.

Can I save the merged result as JPG or PNG?

Yes, you can save the merged result as JPG or PNG, as well as WEBP, PDF and BMP. Change the format in the Format menu before downloading. JPG gives the smallest file for photos, while PNG keeps every pixel without lossy compression and supports a transparent background.

Is GabungJPG free and can I use it on my phone?

Yes, GabungJPG is free and works on your phone. It runs in Chrome, Safari and Samsung Internet on Android and iPhone, with no extra app. Tap Choose JPG files, pick photos from your gallery, set the order with the arrow buttons, then tap Download as JPG. The result is saved to your downloads folder or the Files app.
